Honest price discovery is sadly missing from our healthcare system. This is the primary cause of costs rising much faster than inflation for decades. Case in point... I went to a St. Lukes clinic for a routine exam. They wouldnt tell me the cost when I made the appointment, when I checked in, nor when I left. I begged but they said they couldnt say.
