Honestly. Negative blog comments under our local news pages have become white noise to me. Its the same blah over and over. As far as Costco goes, Jackson is just as worthy as any other city....Folks talkin bout Clean up the crime first as if an entire city cant multi-task. From what I see Costco is located in many other cities with crime. Killing part is for 45% The its too much crime in jxn really means Its too many Black people in Jxn. So Theyre not coming to Jxn anyway. The other 35% dont get that as long as there is poverty, homelessness, joblessness, and dope there will be crime ON SOME LEVEL. Utopias dont exist. And the other 20% of us choose to accentuate the positive and say Why NOT us? When it comes to new businesses. It aint rocket science. We KNOW we have challenges. We watch the news. But the train dont stop. I hear yall talkin but..if they Build a Costco... theyre coming.
