Honestly, did anyone win tonight? I feel sad and confused by it all. Why are people upset when other people (and Im talking about a black friend I grew up with who also happens to be a cop) bring up the stats about black on black crime. Why are we raising our kids to be so freaking violent anyway? Why are we outraged everyday by the news! Ill tell you this. So many people think Im backwards for disconnecting my cable. You know why I did it? Cause I didnt think it was healthy to have so much access to violent information every night at 6pm and beyond. Stop raising our kids to idolize criminals and pro criminal behavior. Were failing our children people. More than any bad cop can. Stop letting your freaking iPads raise your kids, cook some dinner and talk to them for crying out loud. Do I think he shouldve shot this kid 6X? No. Do I think this kid has a history of using his size to intimidate? Yep. Check out YouTube sometime people. There are plenty of videos of parents instigating their children to have some sort of kiddie fight club. As well whole channels devoted to teens beating the shit out of each other.
