Honestly, i think that if the emancipated westerner true and sincere motivation is to help us - the suffering people of the east, the emancipated westerner should lead his/her fight in the west, in the center of the empire where it has alienated human beings to the point of total pacification. What i see on the ground is simply the opposite, where the elements of tension who hold the potential of confronting the empire at home, are being released in the form of actual physical migration that only perpetuates the colonial paradigm totally fitting the pseudo-ethical considerations of imperialism, as educational missionaries once did. Add to that, the economics of this mechanism (although considered as marginal) by which young educated graduates who face a harsh employment market in the west, relocate and thus offer the economic model a way out of its social and intellectual impasse, leaving the unprivilegeds wrath in the west to be dealt with on security/military grounds. Of course, all humans are free to pursue their individual fulfillment wherever it leads them, especially if they have a western passport. But surely, the others too have the right to evaluate the effects of a mass phenomenon on their lives be it on the short or longer terms. When the emancipated westerner brings up the arguments of his/her Freedom in this context, one should not forget how the chinese were obliged to buy opium from the british in the name of Free trade.
