Honestly think on this: THEY ARE TALKING OF SECOND REPUBLIC. the system they are proposing, has it been tested against all possible scenario?? For example : - suppose same party win general election (5yrs) and presidency (7 yrs).ok. what happen if next election population want a change of government? the PM just said that he can preside the cabinet any time. In such a scenario, can any MAURITIAN imagine the PM and PRESIDENT cohabiting? we all know the realities of mauritian politics, this is impossible. The PM said he can dissoudre lassemblee anytime. So what happen if in 5 years the population change government and president still in place? Can the president dissoudre THE NEWLY ELECTED ASSEMBLY? AND THIS IS A REAL POSSIBILITY - AS IN THE LAST 4 GENERAL ELECTION THE POPULATION HAS VOTED FOR A CHANGE THREE TIMES. this is just one of the many existing scenario where the system proposed will not work. SAJ ENA RAISON DIRE - PAS JOUER AVEC DIFE. SO SAY NO TO SECOND REPUBLIC
