Honestly, why wouldnt a government not act as a corporation? Corporations operate covertly to maximize profit and control on a domestic and global market (Google: oligopoly) In fact most of these ethical business still out source slave labor that can be compared to if not worse then the civil war era. Now with this in mind, We the people are supposed to have power over our elected and commander-in-chief. But from these past 15-20 Im sure you can see its obviously the opposite. We the people answer to our govt. our government answers the the U.N. The U.N. Answers to financial institutions like the world bank, and the Bilderberg group. Countries like the United States, Russia, China, all compete in a global market to become to accumulate power and wealth. So why wouldnt they follow the same method of oligopoly? First world countries working together to take out competition. Example: Middle East.
