For more information, call (910) 428-2338 When: June 28, 10 a.m. Where: Star Town Hall, Star Glass Art Fusing Camp Registration deadline is July 12 What: Glass Fusing Camp Details: STARworks Glass Fusing Camp is for kids, ages 12-16, who would like to learn how to make glass tiles, dishes & other fun items using pieces of colored glass. Instructor David Wilkie will cover everything from the very basics to projects that stretch the imagination. For more information, visit the STARworks website or call (910) 428-9001. Seats are very limited. Early registration is encouraged. When: July 22-26, 10 a.m. to noon Where: STARworks Glass Lab, Star Summer Clay Camp Seats still available in the advanced camp! What: Summer Clay Camp Details: An opportunity for youth to be introduced to a traditional art of the region - making pottery! Lead instructor Hitomi Shibata will teach students basic pottery making & sculpting skills using local clay. Guest artists include Ben Owen III, Eck McCanless, Rosa Patton, Mary Elaine Bernard & Greg Bender. Beginners, Intermediate & Advance camps offered. Fee is $85. Seats are limited.
