Honor Flight Schedule of events: 9:30 BWI Arrival (Bikers going to Airport will meet at pre-determined location) 10:15 BWI Departure - 25 Bikers will be chosen from Northern States and 2 National 2MBTDC Reps will be part of this. (We cant hae a lot of bikes at the airport per the Chairman of FL & the Airport) First Rally point - Bikers from Northern States, Maryland, Penn, Delaware that are not part of Airport Escort will meet at Old Glory Harley Davidson 11800 Laurel Bowie Road Laurel, MD 20708 This dealership is along bus route to Air Force Memorial. Bikers here can join buses as they come from BWI. Will necessitate a good Road Captain to have bikers move to 295 to meet buses from BWI. Escort to Air Force Memorial…. Approximate road time 35-45 mins. Second Rally Point: - Bikers from EAST, WEST & SOUTH will meet at: Air Force Memorial One Air Force Memorial Drive Arlington , Va. This rally point is the first stop for the Flight of Honor. Because of the logistics and routes from elsewhere it would be best that Bikers from Va, NC and other points south meet here. They should be there by 10:30 am, line the street to welcome the Vets. (also will allow support people to meet here to) The route from elsewhere has numerous traffic lights and would lead to the procession becoming strung out and disorganized, this relieves that problem. 11:00 am Arrive Air Force Memorial (WWII vets will have their lunches) One Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA The memorial is located off of Columbia Pike near VA-244. The Pentagon Metro station is within walking distance of the memorial. Near Pentagon Many Hotels nearby. 11:40 Depart for Iwo Jima : Glenn Ralph will lead Escort as he lives in DC and knows route well: 11:50 Arrive Iwo Jima (Escort) 12:15 Depart for WWII Memorial (Escort) 12:30 Arrive WWII Memorial (BIKERS WILL HAVE SNACKS & WATER PROVIDED by 2MBTDC) 12:45 Group Picture 3:15 Depart Korean War Bus holding area Escort 3:30 Arrive Arlington Bus Escort area 4:00 Changing of the Guard 4:30-4:45 Meet & Greet 3rd Regiment Official if available After this riders can depart for home 5:00 Depart for BWI (NORTHERN STATES WILL ESCORT THEM BACK TO AIRPORT) 5:45 BWI Arrival NOTICE: 2MBTDC WILL PROVIDE SNACKS AND WATER FOR ALL RIDERS AT World War II Memorial; Look for Red Jeep Liberty for these snacks and water.
