Honoring our outstanding teachers and administrators In celebration of educators the Jacksonville Onslow Chamber of Commerce, Onslow County Schools, Jones-Onslow EMC, Wells Fargo Bank and other local businesses came together to sponsor their annual Salute to Excellence breakfast at Infant of Prague Parish Hall this morning. The event has been held annually for more than 20 years with local government officials and local business leaders attending to support and show their appreciation of our teachers and thank them for all their hard work and dedication to the profession. Each schools Teacher of the Year received a plaque. TOY finalists and district TOY, Melissa Doyle, from Jacksonville Commons Elementary were acknowledged. Principal of the Year, Chris Barnes from New Bridge Middle School and Assistant Principal of the Year, Bridget Grady from Sand Ridge Elementary received donated gifts as well as plaques.
