Honouring ones Parents Conclusion As we conclude our ‘Honouring ones Parents’ series, it is a must that we revise some of the important points and benefits that we have gained regarding this great topic: Firstly: Obeying and Honouring one’s parents is obedience to Allah and His Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). Secondly: It is a means of entering Paradise. Thirdly: This is a way of showing gratitude to them because they are the ones who brought you into this world and took care of you from a very young and fragile age. Fourthly: If one honours their parents this may be the cause of their own children honouring them when they are older. Finally: Maintaining the ties of kinship (which includes the parents) is a reason for having your lifespan extended and rizq (provision) increased. We ask Allah to make us from those who honour their parents and from those who maintain and uphold the ties of kinship, to forgive our sins and enter us in the highest levels of Paradise.
