Hooray for Harvey! 2013 Waddle King Update Harvey came in to GABR as a throw away hound as he was picked up as a stray from animal control, and when the owners found out where he was, they said they did not want him any longer and the shelter could keep him. We were happy to take him under our wings and he became part of the GABR family. Harvey had a lot of difficulty walking when he first came to GABR, many times he would fall over and be unable to walk. It was diagnosed that he had Spinal Spondylosis which causes bone spurs to form on the spine. After extensive research we found a great acupuncture treatment for Harvey and it did wonders for him. He was soon adopted out, but shortly after finding his forever home, he was diagnosed with cancer. His new owner immediately began researching what would be best for Harvey. We are happy to announce... Harvey completed his last chemo treatment on 10/27! Harvey is one tough boy and we want to thank all of our supporters for helping us rescue him. Harvey is here and happy because of your support of GABR. Special thanks to his forever owner Jeff Jackson, and also his GABR foster home, Teri Burnett!
