Hope Scotland votes no today (dont want to lose all those anti-conservative Scots from the electorate!) even though I would be hugely tempted to stick it to Westminster with a yes vote. Thats the first epic fail from David Cameron, framing the question so that remaining in the Union was a negative (i.e. no) answer. Why not should Scotland remain a part of the United Kingdom? then the nationalists would have been running a no campaign? The Yes campaigin is all very reminiscent of the hope and ambition of people who voted for Obama and Nick Clegg and I suspect the same would happen. A separate Scottish state will still be run by politicians largely from the same class as Westminster, in a world where the interests of international corporations are allowed to override the interests of democracy. In conclusion, whatever the vote: same shit, same/different arsehole.
