. Hope all is going well with you and your family. I have some Tevya news. You may already know about this program so I apologize in advance. The bottom line is your help is needed. We all have wonderful memories of our time or our kids time spent at camp. We want to assure that future campers have the same experience. JCamp180, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, selected Camp Tevya for a special competitive challenge called “Chai Match.” (see attached). The goal is to enhance the long-term effectiveness of Camp Tevya, based on its successful track record for engaging young people in meaningful Jewish cultural and educational experiences. In order to get the funds Tevya must raise $108,000 by April 18. We need to act fast and raise an additional $45,000. That’s where you come in!! Your $1,800 minimum pledge/gift will be worth $2,400 to Camp Tevya (I wish my money grew like that!!). Only 1/3 ($600+) is due within 60 days of your pledge; the balance by Sept. 18, 2016 (Thats 2 years from now, 2 years!!! What better deal could you ask for???) Current donor pledges have been given by multi-generational Tevya alums and community members: Philip & Ellen Martin Ades, Peter Alpert, Caren & Ric Bobroff, Joe Boyer, Anabelle & Arnold Cohen, Etahn Cohen, Jonathan Cohen, Rich Gelles, Dan & Jeannie Goldstone, Jim & Sheryl Hirsch, Ruth Kaplan, Michael London, Mindee Meltzer, Nancy Levitan-Poorvu, Alan Sheldon, Steve & Cindy Shapiro Siagel, Joel & Ellen Yesley Silberman, Elliot Spack, Barbie Stevens, Steven Van Dam, Bob & Fredda Shapiro Zaiger, Ron Zaiger, Jill Greenspan-Ziplow and myself. Be part of our team and make a pledge. Join forces with your siblings and make the pledge together or make it from your entire family!! We just need you to do it. Your tax-deductible donation will be the best investment you make. An investment in Tevya!!! Camp Tevya is both celebrating its 75th Season and embarking on a five-year plan of strategic action for greater excellence They are working on innovative programs, experiences and facility upgrades and improvements that will maintain the continuity and sustainability for future generations. Tevya needs your help. Speaking of the 75th year, if you haven’t registered yet or need more information about the reunion on June 20th and 21st, just go to the website: camptevyareunion. (that’s easy to remember!) So… make the check payable to Camp Tevya and put it to the attention of Barbie Stevens at the address listed below. Want to put it on your credit card?? No problem!!! Remember, you only need 1/3 of first payment by April 18th…they rest in 2 years….that’s 2 years! $1800 is the minimal gift for this challenge but that’s not to say you can’t give more.
