Hope all my family and friends had a wonderful time and Merry Christmas yesterday. I have to admit the holidays, days, weeks and months havent been the same for me these past several years and I couldnt figure out why until this year when I was diagnosed with nerve damage from the Gulf War and PTSD. thinking this whole time that it was because Ive been actively involved in combat sports for over 3 decades now and the wear and tear was catching up to me as well as the overtraining. I am ashamed to say Ive lost or pushed away allot of good people, friends and family who have reached out to me (you know who you are), and want to apologize to those that have taken the time to do so. I am grateful, appreciative and upset at myself at the same time for not being responsive to you or try to deal with it on my own. Its nothing personal. PTSD is a daily struggle within. I cant begin to explain the challenges everyday one has to face just to get thru the day. Im learning more about it and how to recognize my trigger points and take time outs when the need arises as opposed to losing my temper. Its a process like learning Jiu-Jitsu and will take some time I know. Much thanks and appreciation to those that have stood by my side thru difficult times.
