Hope and Faith....... As the 2 step offers us a beginnin t the solution for our problem, w must maintain this attitude in our daily lives. W learn t never lose hope, t have faith tht things wll work out, & t continue believin tht there are powers tht are workin for us if w embrace thm. In order to work this step, which states, "Came t believe tht a Power greater thn ourselves could restore us t sanity," w must b in constant belief tht our spiritual program wll work for us. The essence of the hope behind this step is tht w must have faith in the path laid out before us. Whn w encounter difficult situations, fear, or w dont know wht w should do, w must use the tools w have. W reach out t others, tke a deep breath, or sleep on it. W begin t trust in our fellows & in the Steps. Workin this step in our daily lives is nt easy at first, as w have t go against how w have been living in our addiction. W learn t believe in the Power greater thn ourselves through takin action. This step is the beginnin of takin contrary action. Where w once made impulsive decisions in the heat of our emotions, w now consult our sponsors & the program.
