Hope everyone had a Happy July 4th. This year, we have a Three Day Weekend. Many are visiting, camping, at the beach, in the mountains, etc. Now we wish for you to continue to enjoy, and have a safe trip. We love our freedom here in USA. But remember, Freedom is not Free. When we won our freedom from England, It was just that, WE WON IT. It was also pretty much the beginning of the American Military. Most of us in The South, can trace our ancestors, back to before the Revolutionary War. I am very proud of my own Revolutionary Ancestors. It was a hard fought war, which victory, wasnt easy. Today, we poke fun at the French, and their military, but keep in mind, England had to turn their attention to their war with France. Ever wonder why the French gave us The Statue of Liberty? Then just a few years later, we had to fight England again in the War of 1812. Again a hard fought war, not easy. Even right here in Alabama, I believe it was 32 battles fought. Here history calls it The Creek Indian War. England tried to get the Indians to rise up against the Americans. A portion of the Creeks, took them up on it. Spain still had Florida, and England got the guns and ammunitions to the Creeks through the Spanish in Pensacola, Florida. Might add here that all the Indian Nations plus most of the Creeks sided with the Americans. Then most of English troops were destroyed by a tornado, or hurricane. Some historians call it, A Storm of Biblical Proportions. Anyway remember, FREEDOM IS NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN FREE. I am thankful for military for winning and keeping our freedom, and pray that GOD WILL BLESS AMERICA.
