Hope everyone is enjoying the day! Quiet and peaceful on Main. Just about to put together dinner - it is looking like a pork cutlet with mashed potatoes night. Gosh, Ive been reading up a storm! Im smack dab in the of a light romance novel that takes place in in the late 1800s with characters living the lives of high society. Im still waiting for one of them to wend her way to the Berkshires. :) Instead, palatial mansions were in London and the English countryside as the locations for second homes. I cant help but think that Mary Hopkins must have enjoyed many of the parties and balls which are described in detail. I cant imagine that she simpered behind a fan, though. She was a Berkshire lass, after all.
