This quote reminded me how some people seem to be able to rise above their circumstances. The problems, weights and burdens that sink so many of us don’t seem to overwhelm these fortunate few. How do they do it? I can hear them say in response, “It is not magic. Let me show you why I do not sink.” There is great quote from Proverbs which states, “How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. (Pro 16:16 NKJV) You see, there are fads and there are facts. There are lies and there is truth and you need to be able to tell the difference between the two. Because choices based on facts, expectations based on reality and understanding founded upon the truth are the keys to successfully navigating through life. So if you feel like you’re about to go under lay hold of some truth and like Aldridge you to will be able to walk upon the water without sinking.
