Hope had a really good day today. She rocked her hemodialysis...exactly what the dialysis tech said. They were able to pull 300 ml of fluid off her while filtering her blood...which is great. She refused to sleep the whole time I was there today, so I am sorry about the late update. As soon as her eyes closed they would open up really wide...she was fighting sleep with everything she had. Tomorrow is a big day for our little princess. She will have an MRI and from there she will have a biopsy (cath) to see if there are any signs of rejection. Dr. Boyle (heart failure doctor and cardiologist) said he expects some rejection and will treat it when they determine what level of rejection she has. There is a little girl in the hospital who has been going through a lot (including her second run on ECMO and kidney issues). Her family is very religious (Orthodox Jewish) and are very in need of prayers. She needs healing of her heart and her kidneys very badly. She had to be put back on ECMO today after emergency open heart surgery. Please keep her (Basya) and her whole family in your prayers. I know the shock and pain her mother is going through right now and I have been praying non stop. I will post more frequent updates tomorrow as each test is done and we get the results. I will be praying with the Chaplain at 11:00 EST tomorrow if anyone is able to pray with me I would appreciate it. Thank you again for keeping Hope in your thoughts and prayers. Gods Got This!!!
