Hope he thinks this one out very carefully for those who live in rural areas. Given the benefits payed to single persons are £56 for the under 25’s and £71 over 25’s If a claimant lives 5 miles from a job centre in say Cornwall it is likely that on a 5 day week it will cost them circa£20 per week to get to the job centre which means the benefit they receive will be risible. The alternative is to raise the benefit to pay for the transportation costs. However there is an opportunity here for Jamie Oliver to suggest that dinning centres for the elderly be build where the unemployed could be employed. He of course would take charge of the project for a huge fee then given the huge publicity he received he could write a best seller and earn himself another million as he did with school meals and hospital food. It’s an ill wind that blows cash into some peoples pockets. news.uk.msn/uk/unemployed-must-work-for-their-dole-2
