Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness During the darkest hours at Manchester Dogs Home, the British public have stood up, in unison and shone an enormous, dazzling, collective light upon such an horrific and bleak situation. Well in excess of £1 million has been raised for those dogs in less than 24 hours. It is an important reminder of the huge generosity and kindness displayed by the majority of this animal-loving population. It is the donations of normal folks such as yourselves that keep animal charities running; without all of YOUR help, none of what we, or most other animal charities do, would be possible. Our centre is of course a much smaller operation than the dogs home, but we too are funded entirely from donations. Today we are so proud. Tomorrow we shall return to our usual pictures of cats (see the website if you are in desperate need of cat pictures), but, for today, we would just like to say two words to our donators, fundraisers, volunteers, fosterers, adopters and anyone else who helps us out in any way at all. THANK YOU.
