Hope its ok to post this up for Sale - Planetary and Deep space guide camera QHY5-ll (mono) Anyone who wants to image the planets and or wants to do seep sky imaging then this is for you. This little gem of a camera was originaly purchased just over a year ago as my guide camera for long exposure deep sky images but also has the ability to do fast frames for planetary images and the moo images. It is a mono camera which makes it more sensitive to light for guiding and when used with colour filters can produce colour images with more detail than a colour sensor. My only reason for selling is that I have a new guide only camera ( I have a separate camera for planets now) which on paper is supposed to be a little more sensitive to finding dim stars. This has not ever been a problem on deep space guiding even using a very demanding off axis guider on a low light C11 , but my appetitive for more and a more faint objects is making finding guide stars more limited when using an off axis guider now. Anyone using a separate guide telescope or a faster lens set up will not need to upgrade as when Ive used on 80mm guide scope there are a choice of decent stars to choose from very time. New camera is a Lodestar x2 which is less versatile and more expensive but fits my equipment set up a bit better. I have attached some pics of the camera and cables to attached for imaging/guiding. Also a few planetary pics taken when I ŵas still learning early techniques so better results are easily possible , of Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Venus and the Moon to show its imaging skills and a single 15 minute shot of Cygnus showing the joys of deep space guiding. Camera can be binned at 2x making it more sensitive too and has a pixel size about 5.2 I think. Any specs just ask me or look at the QHY site as its a current and ver popular camera. These retail at £229 and its in superb condition and fully working so Im looking for £150. It has a few sparse hot pixels (always has had since new , as does my new x2 lodestar ...I believe this is common) and doesnt affect anything. So anyone doing short 20-30 sec deep space images will find the joys of guiding for 5/1015/20 mins a time a while new undiscovered world ! Please PM me if you want to know any more or are interested. Cheers , Simon
