Hope this is ok to post Shannon Barnes, Heather K Lane and Kristi Muck. For those looking for a puppy, please understand that the prices that individuals set for their show and pet puppies are not thought of lightly. The reputable breeders out there put a lot of time and expense into breeding their litters. The breedings dont happen to just make puppies for sale, but as a general rule to produce something for ourselves to further our kennel blood lines. Unfortunately, mother nature does not allow us to put in an order for the perfect puppy for us to keep and gives us plenty to choose from. Some of the expenses that we go through are listed as follows: For the Parents: Hips $300 + Elbows $150+ Eyes $30+ HCT $40 MDR1 $40 Additional Tests $40+ Stud fees - $1500 to $3000 Progesterone Tests $50+ each test Brucellousious - $50 Collecting & Shipping Semen: $300+ Shipping female (to and from) $400+ Emergency C-Section if necessary $1300+ For the pups: Tail docking - $100+ if done by a vet Eye Certification $30 per pup or more Vaccines $15 per pup, x 3 Worming - $5+ Per pup for two rounds Feed: $120+ depending on food and amount of time you have pups Vet Checks $45 per pup depending on vet and what they are being seen for We will never make a profit and will rarely break even, but this is not why we breed. We breed for ourselves first and foremost and then look for homes for our precious babies that is perfect for them. Please keep this in mind when you question our prices or ask us to lower the cost of a puppy way below the standard for well bred, healthy puppy from well bred healthy lines. Good breeders can tell you the health and history on their pups produced for a minimum of 4 generations. Is this worth it to you to know where your new family member comes from?
