Hope this went well, heres a somewhat late thought. A key aspect of creating the future has to be re-inventing the community. Specifically, helping turn great ideas into economic activity, and providing local employment. To do this, the wealthy nearby need to invest in communities to support these processes, and there need to be local community banks that focus specifically on communities, allowing investment in their leading economic members. This may well be difficult in rural areas, but farmers say could form local co-operatives to cover their geographic area and help support others in their community. This means we need to move away from the current banking concept that only big is beautiful, and remember that small businesses make up 40% of the population and earn 30% of the UK turnover. And that some of these can be grown into bigger businesses, given the right support infrastructure. Love to know what Simon from Bank to the Future would say !!
