Hopefully someone can help me. My son was given the Keystone exams even though he has a learning disability and an IEP in place. I assumed he would be given the modifications for this test as they have for every other test hes taken. I recieved a letter today stating my son didnt score high enough on the test and cannot participate in the commencement ceremony for graduation. I only learned after speaking to the guidance counselor that the test was not modified and he will have to retake the test until he scores high enough. My son has a 3.0 gpa. I was told this test has nothing to do with him academically. Can someone please explain how a child w a learning disability can b made to take a test for children without learning disabilities.
