Hopefully the new Obamacare will turn out to be a better system than what was previously in place--but it is certainly not a smooth transition, even for--or perhaps especially for people who already had insurance in place. Its a mess, not helped by the active sabotage by parties (political and commercial) how want to see it fail--both now and during its inception. Even some people who otherwise qualify for Medicare are falling through the cracks. Advice--even from those who are paid to know, can be contradictory or even wrong. The state of Oregon is attempting to help those seniors who qualify for Medicare but who otherwise would be hit with huge penalties or high premiums.
