Hopefully this is the last time I have to write about this issue because it is really ridiculous.......... I am going back to sharing stories on FB how I use to, either through the media postings on Facebook or grabbing it from their web site and posting it to this page, w a link to their page (not funneling through mine). I wanted to clarify that I have not heard anything negative about this issue from ABC 7 Sarasota - WWSB, Herald-Tribune Media Group and the Observer. My understanding is that the Editor of the Gondo (Ronnie) sent them all the letter, to draw them into his battle. I even had one reporter call me wondering why I stated he told me about this issue, when he didnt....... 1. I was annoyed at the reporter for not giving me a heads up, since I share a ton of stories with the person..... 2. It showed me that I am dealing w a very unstable person at the Gondo, that for some reason views me as a major threat, versus a resource. In regards to the Gondo, this is probably the last time youll see me mention their name and I definitely will not be sharing their information. I am not sure if Ronnie is just a rogue Editor or if the Publisher was pushing this issue. I say that because I have no problem w the North Port Sun and that Editor knows she can write me and have me pull down information, that is interfering w their story. A couple suggestions for the Gondo: 1. Get an Editor that lives in Venice and has a feel for the city, not North Port. Also, get someone that has lived here longer than two years and understands the people of the community. 2. Follow the Editor of the North Port Suns footsteps. They put out news daily via Facebook and then they put out the paper, during their normal cycle. They share community events in full and run an excellent Facebook page. This in turn has given the people of North Port a real appreciation for the paper down there. 3. Regarding the employees, hang in there. I know many of you have written me with support and frustration with how things are being ran, but things will get better............ OK.
