Hoping all goes as planned today.... The time has come and i think well be able to get dad into Autumn Life today... (tears) Its going to be so hard, because I know that hell think we are just dumping him, putting him away.. With being admitted to Autumn Life, they will be able to do a thorough re-evaluation on his dementia.. will be there up to 12 days; in those days, he wont be able to see mom... which will be devastating for him.. after that he will be transferred to Autumn Leaves, a wonderful memory care facility... Im utterly heartbroken that my parents will be separated indefinitely.. Mom, will be going to The Fountains at Canterbury, skilled nursing.. she is so weak, not sure if she will be able to do the rehab... after that, we are not sure what will take place.. but, this will be doubly devastating to my dad.. My heart goes out to anyone who is going through this in their family... Seeing my dad admitted there will be one of the hardest things ever for me.. the other, seeing what my mother is having to endure... Love my family! Love you all, and i hope you have a blessed Thursday!
