Hoping my question is acceptable, my plants in question are not wild, but cultivated. I planted these gourds and am already harvesting them for sponges. Here it is mid September, and there are blooms everywhere. I know that eating the bloom from a summer squash is typical - but do folks also eat the blooms from gourds? I probably have 50 or more flowers on the plants right now... can I batter and fry those like I do the bloom from a crookneck? Thanks!
