Hoping something gets figured out soon with Colonial Downs and the VA horse owners who fought so hard to get approval for horse racing in VA years ago. The VHPBA, VA Horsemens Benevolence and Protective Association is not helping the situation by refusing to sign their annual contract with Colonial Downs. In my opinion, theyre being pig headed brats that want everything their way or no way. A compromise has been offered several times and they wont even listen to a compromise. I didnt realize that 80% of VHBPA members dont even live in VA!!! So, they could care less what happens to Colonial Downs or its employees. Why should they?? They dont have to worry about where their next meal is coming from or worry about how theyre going to pay their bills and how theyre going to keep a roof over their familys heads.
