Hoppy New Year! And git yer blackeye peas on. Thats right, I like good cold beer with my New Years repast. Peas, Corned beef & Cabbage, and cracklin cornbread. ..........And probably some mac & cheese.....Fer the cherruns. I like to use dried black eyes and canned corned-beef, my recipes are basically my maternal grand mothers, but I usually mince the onions and a bit of celery for the peas. Forgot to put them on to soak last night so I gave them a 45 minute rest after a 2 minute boil. Where did I put that jar of chow-chow?
