Horrible emergency situation yesterday. Two small 5-week-old kittens were found in the parking lot of a business by a very dear woman who is very uncomfortable around cats, but knew these two needed help. One kitten had the goriest eye situation I have ever seen (photo too graphic to post). Poor baby had a ruptured eyeball and was in unimaginable pain. Both kittens presented with infection, malnutrition, dehydration, and a heavy presence of life-draining fleas. They had clearly been apart from their mother for quite some time. These two little ones are at the vet receiving loving care. If they are strong enough to survive, at the very least the ruptured eyeball will have to be removed. At the moment that kitten is too fragile and frail to handle the surgery. Please keep these two in your thoughts as they struggle to survive. Hopes, prayers, good vibes all help!
