Horrific tragedies happen every single day, but I have to say that losing a sibling produces some of the worst feelings Ive ever experienced. The sadness and sense of loss is overwhelming. I tell my kids she is in a better place, but is she? My faith tells me so but there is still a nagging feeling that death is just.....nothing. Darkness. Blackness. Zilch. Then I slap myself back to faithful reality and wrap my head around the thoughts that she is with all who have gone before her and they are rejoicing with the Lord. I lost my friend, my secret-keeper, the one who would watch Dirty Dancing with me every single night or play gin rummy all night long. I wish I could see her one more time to tell her how much I love her....
