Horrors! Deanne opened a pop up window on the computer on Friday and answered a security question or two. She thought it was American Express calling. It turned out to be a virus and now we hear it is the worst one ever. They encrypted all our files, photos, etc. so that we have no way of opening them. They sent a message that if we want access, we can pay them some great sum of money and they will provide a code to unlock them. Ugh! Be Careful. In todays world, dont open or click on anything suspicious and dont ever provide financial info over the internet to anyone no matter how legitimate the website may appear. Deanne learned a hard lesson. We hope our computer guys are able to find a fix short of paying the ransom money they ask for.
