Mounting You may mount your hose reel on most any surfaces, such as concrete, metal, wood or plastic. Although the mounting methods will change slightly, all materials that are sturdy can receive a hose reel. If you are mounting onto concrete, then have someone hold the reel to the concrete surface while you level it with a hand level and mark the mounting holes with a pencil. Using a hammer drill and concrete bit to pre-drill holes into the concrete will make installation. Drill into the pre-marked holes and mount the reel using tapcon concrete screws. You may paint the screws before installation in order to make them match the surroundings--tapcons are blue. Mounting into metal will require the same leveling and marking procedure, except you will use metal self tapping screws for the attachment. When you have leveled the hose reel onto the wall, insert the self tapping screws using a drill and bit driver.
