Hospital Update: After much complaining, I got a new doctor. This doctor makes sense. Here is what she thinks: infection in the colon was the start of the problems. When I threw up blood Thursday morning, some of it may have got into my lungs causing the start of an infection in my lungs so they are now treating me for both infections. The chest pains and shortness of breath are likely being caused by bruising of the muscle lining in my chest. She thinks that is caused from the forcefulness of vomiting. Things are looking up. My heart rate and blood pressure have returned to normal. My temperature is still a little high. They are keeping me on IV antibiotics to continue to battle the infection. Sometime tomorrow (Sunday) they will transition me to oral antibiotics. I wont be getting out of the hospital until Monday morning at the earliest. They want to make sure I can handle the oral antibiotics and can have a normal bowel movement. Things are looking up. I appreciate all the thoughts and the prayers. Please keep them coming. They ARE helping and with Gods grace, I will overcome this and will be a perfectly health 26-year-old guy again.
