Host Highlight: Andrew McVey and his beautiful wife Jessica McVey are from Ottawa, they have 2 beautiful children, Kennedy who is 4 and Ethan, 2 months old. When Kennedy was born, the McVey’s noticed right away that something was off. They were very vigilant in pursuing all kinds of therapies to help her hit her milestones. The problem was, they did not know what the diagnosis was. They found out about 2 months ago when a genetic test finally let them know it was PWS. By then Kennedy was already 4 years old. But they did not despair, I met Andrew and Jessica at the conference in Toronto, after speaking with them, I knew they had a fire in them and that they were going to be great advocates for PWS. So they pulled up their sleeves, did a video, opened a OSS page and are hosting their FIRST walk in OTTAWA. Our Nation’s capital. What better highlight this week since it was Canada day on July 1st.
