The Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) [AKF (P)] is seeking high calibre professional for the following position to be based in Islamabad: HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT The incumbent will manage the internal audit function with the objective to help the organisation accomplish its objectives through a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organise and manage internal audits including the preparation of annual audit plan; Determine compliance with the Foundation’s policies, procedures and guidelines, contractual requirements and system of internal controls, and recommend improvements therein; Review compliance with donor agreements and other requirements; Work with management to put in place systems to ensure that major risks are identified and mitigation strategy is in place; Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information during the course of audits and reviews; Report to the Audit Committee and senior management on the policies, programmes and activities of the Foundation; Conduct special reviews requested by the Audit Committee or senior management; Review and update existing audit programmes and internal control questionnaires as necessary; Perform follow-up audits to verify implementation of audit recommendations / actions agreed upon with the management as a result of audits; Remain knowledgeable about relevant legislative changes and donor compliance requirements; and Performs special investigations and other related assignments, as necessary. Required Qualifications: A qualified CA/CMA or a recognised professional equivalent qualification having 10 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed CIA, CISA, or CFE. Candidates with good written & spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of MS Office, flexibility to travel and ability to work in a diversified team environment are encouraged to apply.
