Hot Monday thoughts: How many of you have used a road map lately? I am sure some of you old guys still use the paper kind and some may use their phone apps or even their car GPS to help them get to their destination. We all know that if you know where you are going you probably dont need a map but what if you are going on a journey to unchartered waters for you? Do you rely on instinct or do you then break out some sort or GPS or map to help you get to your destination? I ask that since I was reading a very good book last week, The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson, and he was talking about a Life Goal List or some may refer to it as a Bucket List and the importance it can have in your life. How do you know what you want to accomplish in life if you dont have some sort of map or plan or set of goals you would like to accomplish? Many times in our lives we decide on a goal and work towards it without ever talking to God first to make sure we are moving in the direction that He wants us to move. I would encourage you to take some time and talk to God before setting up your road map about the direction He may want you to move in your life or what it is that He may want you to accomplish at whatever stage you are at in life. Make spiritual goals, physical goals, etc but take some time to think about what you may want to do when you grow up! I started mine last week and it is a pretty fun excercise and dont be afraid to set big goals and big dreams and let God guide you to and through them!
