Hotel Anai, Kuna Islands, Panama, 1996. While the tourists wandered around the main island acting like tourists, we would take a "water taxi" (canoe with a motor) over to another island and chill at the Hotel Anai. It was a bar for the locals, and well as international divers coming in by boat. Had one of the best meals of my life there - Grilled Caribbean lobster pulled right of of the ocean and spiced steamed plantains.
