Hotel for band students! It looks fabulously fabulous! embassysuites3.hilton/en/hotels/california/embassy-suites-los-angeles-downey-LAXDWES/index.html 1. Girls will be on one floor. Guys on another. There will be security patrolling the floors all the time. Chaperones will be doing room checks, as well. 2. No room service allowed at any time! 3. Respect hotel staff and property. ****Any damages will be paid by guardians/parents. We are representing our town, our school & fine arts. *** 4. Word is there may be a brief window of opportunity to swim on Thursday after the parade & before we go to the Queen Mary. Before you get pumped up about that, Remember the hotel pool will only allow so many at a time & you still have to get ready for the dinner & dance. We do have to load our instruments & uniforms. Also, you might be a little tired after getting up at 4am & marching all day, too. Keep in mind we leave at 12:30am for the airport, too. 5. NO LEAVING THE HOTEL. GROUNDS TO GET SENT HOME. 6. NO CHANGING ROOMS. YOUR ROOM ASSIGNMENT WILL NOT CHANGE. DO NOT ASK! 7. Free wifi. 8. Looks like it has a mini store, so you can get a drink/snack with your money. 9. Full breakfast is served each morning. We do expect everyone to get up when called & meet at the time set each day for breakfast. No skipping, or sleeping in!! We are going together & you need to eat something, & be ready to go do the day. 10. Lights out time will be set each night & kids are expected to do it! We have so much to do each day, with early morning starts. We all need rest, so we can enjoy California! Kids will stay in their rooms once lights out start. Failure to do so, will result in a trip to the principal & administrators going with us. Mrs. McNeely will be your trip buddy if you get in trouble! Parents make sure you drill all this into your childs brain! We are going to have a good time, but we all have to follow the rules!
