Hourly Worship/ Prayers Alleluia Papa wrote a circular to all churches within and outside Nigeria, calling them for a teaching which he was to deliver on 5th April, 1985 at the Good Friday Service at the National Headquarters of the church, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos. Unfortunately, the event saw the attendance of a loose, negligible microscopic minority of people, who till date cannot adequately inform immediate younger colleagues and posterity what the Founder had deposited in them. Little wonder many still appear uninformed and ignorant of this teaching. It is called the Ten Steps and in Yoruba, ‘Igbese Mewa’. 4. 7, 3-Hourly service Papa said this is to be done 7 times daily (Ps.119:164, Prov.24:16). The worship should be done at the following regular hours, 6a.m., 9 a.m., 12 noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m., 12 midnight. Our Muslim Brothers celebrate God 5 times each day according to the instructions which they received from God. The midnight celebration is indispensable in that this is an hour of the evil forces and it is at this time that witches go to their meeting. As they set out, they visit their victims. Whoever is praying after the normal worship at this hour is surrounded by the light of the fire of God, and witches who dare to move close to such people would be ground to powder. Psalm 119:62. To celebrate God is to worship face down and pray. Therefore, our seven prayers each day should be preceded by worship face down. The book of Proverbs 24:16 says, ‘For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again; but the wicked shall fall into mischief’. It is by the seven worship and prayer that the just is risen up. The hours of prayers mentioned above were instituted by God for us in C.C.C. At these hours, all creatures of God should worship Him. It is as a result of this that Isaiah 55:6 says, ‘Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near’. We should therefore respect as much as possible the hours prescribed for the daily prayers. No one is as busy as King David who does it seven times daily. ‘Seven times a day do I praise thee because of your righteous judgments.’ Hirah Jahmah does not come in during hourly prayers except the New Moon Service. Even Jesus worshipped God face-down. -Matt. 26:39. Papa Oshoffa said God raised Prophet Muhammad over 600 years after the ascension of Christ when Christians had abandoned the true worship for miracles. This, God delivered to Papa S.B.J Oshoffa that he may teach the world. We do this worship on earth, and we shall do it in heaven after death, with the Celestial creatures. It is in this way that adoration is given to God. - Rev.7:11. a.Apart from these hours, Celestials should address God every time by Psalms and Supplications and endeavour to pray always. –Phil. 4:6. b.Work and other occupation may hinder us from praying at designated hours, but nothing can stop us from praying. The hour of worship should be marked whenever it arrives, even if it is by silent prayer for a few seconds; because God is spirit… John 4:24 c. Arrears of worship: The worship which we could not do should be remembered at the next hour of worship, and should precede that worship. In the case of arrears, the service is done one third. In CCC so we won’t ask amiss(James 4;3).Most times we pray not according to the will and purpose of God that’s why our prayers are not answered and we feel tired and rejected by God ,this is part of the mission God sent CCC (Cleansing the world) but how we view it is quite different, little wonder the Pastor founder use to say it all the time that its worship that’s given to us. It’s in worship that we can be in the presence of God all the time, rejecting worship and mode of worship is rejecting the presence of God in our lives. At these specific hours, we should pray, we are taught to make some specific supplications at these times so we would be filled with the breathe of God which brings life and cast out all evil around us and our family. Papa taught us as below: 6(AM AND PM)- hour of forgiveness of sin and thanksgiving: At this time of the day we pray for FORGIVENESS of sin; the sins we committed that could make the presence of God far from us which hinder us from hearing His voice, we should also ask for SANTIFICATION of our body and surroundings to allow the host of heaven to be with us, and then we THANK Him for all His goodness and mercy over our lives, families etc. Most people misplace the way of prayer, they always say we should thank God first and then ask for other things but can a dirty person come into a clean house without been bathed? 9(AM AND PM)- HOUR OF HOLY SPIRIT (Acts 2:15): Papa said this was the time the holy spirit descended on the apostles in the upper room and they begin to speak in tongue. During this time we ask for THE SPIRIT OF GOD to direct our part according to His will so we won’t fall into temptation(mat6:9). 12(NOON AND MIDNIGHT)- HOUR OF LIGHT (Act 22:6):This was the time the light of revelation was shone on apostle Paul on his was to Damascus and by studying the scripture well see that apostle Paul was more vast in revelation than all other apostles this is as the result of the light of God that was fell on him that time. So this time is given to us to ask for THE LIGHT OF GOD roundabout us and our family so we won’t fall into the trap of the devil. It this same light that was shone to Moses and people could not behold his face for a long time. If we have the light of God shining before us, evil ones can never come close to us or our family, this was the reason our prophet/ess service was to be done between 12-1pm every Friday so the exceptional light of revelation would shine on them and they will be able to see the deepest secrets and know the mind of God but we have changes it to midnight because of the excuse that we are busy, which has reduced the level of revelation our wolis have these days. 3(AM AND PM)- HOUR OF UPLIFTMENT igbesoke (Mat 27:46-50,Mark 15:35-37,Luke 23:44-46): This was the hour Jesus Christs spirit was taken up into the heaven, the spirit was lifted off above all powers of this world and the grace was brought down to us. We ask for UPLIFTMENT in all our ways and endevours, in everything we lay our hands on and the promise of God in deut 28:13 should come to pass in our lives. N.B : the prayer at these our are not stereotype i.e we pray for the above and ask other things we have in mind from God. the difference between the service of the first Thursday of the month and the seven daily worship. These daily seven hourly worship is composed of the following two hymns:- Hymn No 57 – Yoruba version. Hymn No 56 – Yoruba version. The service of the first Thursday of each month use the following three hymns. Hymn No 57- Yoruba version. Hymn No 226- Yoruba version. Hymn No- 56 Yoruba version. Do you practice your hourly worship|prayers? If YES Congratulations If NO please endevour to learn and practice as God said it is a SHOCK ABSORBER for true Celestial member. God will increase our spiritual knowledge about this great church in Jesus name.Amen.
