House Agriculture Committee Chairman-elect Mike Conaway has announced the appointment of key senior staff to lead the Committee in the 114th Congress. Policy Director Matt Schertz most recently served as senior professional staff to Chairman Frank Lucas and staff director to Chairman Conaway on the General Farm Commodities and Risk Management Subcommittee. Bart Fischer will continue as the Committee’s Chief Economist. Onida, South Dakota native Jackie Barber will serve as the House Ag Committee’s chief counsel.
