House Fire In Auburn Friday Night At 8:21 PM Friday night communication officers with Barrow County Emergency Services received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at 334 Wyngate Road in Auburn. “Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke showing from the side of the structure and roof,” commented Battalion Chief Mike Stoops. “We also found fire showing in the attic area of the home.” Engine 4, Engine 5, Med 4, Med 5 and Battalion 1 all responded to this call. Crews made an aggressive interior attack on the fire. They were able to quickly contain the fire, keeping it from spreading any further. A bedroom of the house was damaged as well as the attic area above the bedroom. Other areas of the house suffered smoke damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Investigation Unit.
