House Ninjas Day 7- SUCCESS! Its been an intense week jumping from roof to roof, shedding lizards, stomping fire ants, saluting dead frogs in swimming pools, and terrorizing neighborhood dogs and cats, but we have scored a great property and we are on our way home. Safety Harbor FL is a nice quiet community that places us 20 minutes from everything but has the feeling of a small town. Theres an artsy feeling Main Street that parades interesting shops and restaurants, ending at a scenic marina with a pier stretching out into Old Tampa Bay. The more touristy areas are just below and west leading out to St. Pete and Clearwater beach, but we will have another more relaxing gulf beach option nearby with Honeymoon Island. Phillippe Park, along the bay shore in Safety Harbor, is one of the most beautiful spots weve found in the region with moss draped great oaks, lazy palms, an Indian mound and a trail running down the bayshore-and we will be able to bicycle there in five minutes from our house. This house rewarded our faith and determination after losing two others to contracts before we could pull the trigger. Must have been meant to be for us to have this house located exactly where our research told us is best for us. 4 BR 2 Bath with vaulted ceilings and a back yard featuring a lanai-covered swimming pool and covered patio for entertaining and enjoying the Florida lifestyle. Next comes inspection on Wednesday and then appraisal and closing details but the house is well kept and we see no indication of the clouds that hung over us for six months with selling our Georgia house amidst significant repairs. Ill post some photos when we meet the inspectors. Its always in the last place you look, right? Well, I have to credit Jackie Mosier Moon for insisting that we look at this house. You were right, my love. Now, lets load the wagon with our memories and take the road that stretches out ahead.
