House With No Steps have joined forces with Surf Life Saving NSW to create an inclusive new Nippers program for children with a disability. New Wave Nippers launched last Saturday at Nobbys Beach in Newcastle with great success. 11 children and their families came along for a morning of fun sand and surf activities. The children receive one-on-one support and participate in the same activities as the standard Nippers program with some activities modified to suit the need of the individual. The New Wave Nippers pilot will begin at Nobbys and Stockton beaches in Newcastle with the potential to roll the program out further. The kids and families are already looking forward to this weekend!
