House deejay/Producer Rio Loose Grooves also known as Yolisa Mtati to fellow friends and relatives is a young music producer hailing from the East side of Johannesburg The love and understanding of music started when I was a young boy, at the age of 13 years. As a young boy I was involved in musical activities that took part in school and on the other hand i was a soccer player. I never knew that music was going to be my ambition; I always thought that soccer was my passion until I started collecting music and the passion started. I first started producing and mixing music at the tender age of 15 years, and already had the chance to meet up with some of the well known acts in the culture of house music. During the period of 2010 I was slowly and fairly being noticed by people from my home town, because we used hold different kinds of sessions in local pubs. In 2011 I became a co-founder of a group called “Loose Grooves “which made a name for itself and consisted of 5 members. We became resident deejays for a local spots in Johannesburg called “Pata Pata” and “Shikisha” in Newtown and that’s when we started going around different clubs and pubs. After a long period of producing music I was later discovered by Infinite boys (Kalawa) and I worked on a number of remixes and original works which were showcased on Afrodesia mp3 and Vogue sessions hosted by king Retro and Infinite boys.
