House hunting has proven successful for us in the last 2 weeks, however I strongly believe people are hampered by agents!! People want to live here and work here and touch wood it has worked out for us. Proper planning and hard work before we left the UK last year, and even more so now. Does anyone share my view that Agents should be regulated in some way? Everyone needs to earn money, and yes I get that, but from what Ive learned so far, it is seriously putting people off. Its all I seem to be hearing so far. This is not a rant as again I understand the need to make money here, but its pricing people out that have money but cant afford the 1000s€ up front, of which its going to agents for basically referring what is usually already up for rent on a private basis. No slanging match required, just a decent debate would be nice for a change!
