House of Gluttony Steakfest @ La Cabrera! My cousin Betsy hosted a luncheon for me and sis Ulla at the newest resto in town, ranked no.17 among Latin Americas best, La Cabrera @6750 Ayala Avenue, it is the first branch in Asia and the Philippines. The happy place is a corner resto formerly Giraffe and Lolo Dads which has huge glass windows. The antique collection decor replicates its mother branches in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Betsy who was the flower girl in my Mom and Dads wedding made sure Ulla and I tasted the best of what La Cabrera is famous for - from the plump, juicy spiced chorizos and grilled goat cheese provolone with slivers of ham and sun dried tomatoes as appetizers, to a gustatory heavenly feast of gigantic slabs of the finest steak and grilled lemony pork, myriad side dishes of dips and sauces to choose from, climaxing in dizzying desserts like dulce de leche.
