Housebreakings - Redding and Reddingmuirhead area Recently, there has been a number of housebreakings to residential homes within the Redding and Reddingmuirhead areas. These break-ins have primarily occurred in the early evening between 5pm and 7pm. In all instances, the occupants cars, which have been parked outside their homes, have been stolen. Police Inspector Stewart, who is responsible for local policing in this area would like to remind local residents to remain extra vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to Police by calling 101. If you see a crime in progress then dial 999. You can take some extra security measures including leaving a light on in the house or setting a timer switch. If you have a house alarm ensure this activated. Make sure car keys are not left within easy access of the front doors. Local Police are patrolling the area and are being supported by specialist resources within Police Scotland including the Roads Policing Unit and Dog section.
